Die dunkle Jahreszeit gilt besonders als Kerzenzeit. So schön und wohlig warm der Schein einer Kerze ist, so gefährlich kann er werden, wenn man sie unbeaufsichtigt lässt. Vor allem in den beliebten Gestecken zur Herbst- und Adventszeit kann es daher schnell brenzlich werden, wenn die Kerze komplett herunterbrennt und der Docht samt Flamme ins trockene Grün rutscht. Um dieser Gefahr entgegenzuwirken, wurde das patentierte SafeCandle® Dochtsystem entwickelt. Ein Kunststoffhalter am Dochtende verhindert, dass die Flamme bis zum Schluss mit Wachs versorgt wird und so komplett abbrennen kann. Die Kerze erlischt frühzeitig von selbst und mit genügend Abstand zum Untergrund, sodass dieser nicht beschädigt und ein Durchbrennen unmöglich wird.
Darüber hinaus bietet das DEKRA geprüfte System neben dem wichtigen Sicherheitsaspekt außerdem auch noch einen bei Florist:innen beliebten Vorteil – die Kerzen können ohne Halter direkt mit Steckdrähten auf den Gestecken angebracht werden.
Bei ordnungsgemäßem Gebrauch und unter Berücksichtigung der gängigen Warnhinweise bleibt die Dekoration sauber, universell einsetzbar und vor allem wiederverwendbar.
Übrigbleibendes Wachs kann entweder über den normalen Restmüll entsorgt werden, oder man sammelt und wird damit selbst kreativ, indem man aus dem Wachs z.B. neuen Kerzen gießt, damit Schuhe imprägniert, oder an Silvester das immer beliebter werdende Wachsgießen ausprobiert.
