Products & Usage
Safe Candle® are candles with an integrated wick holder that ensures that the candle extinguishes itself at the critical point. The patented safety system guarantees that the flame does not slide down the wick channel, thus reducing the risk of fire.
The integrated wick holder, which is 17 mm high, naturally leaves a corresponding amount of candle residue. With optimal care and correct burning, this residue is as small as possible and the candle still provides the necessary safety aspects.
If possible, a candle or light should always burn long enough for the burner to completely liquefy. Extinguishing it too often or too early leads to tunneling, which leaves too much residual wax.
PURE® candles are made from canolaseed stearin, which we source from Europe.
PURE® cylindrical candles are made from animal stearin, which is obtained from slaughterhouse waste. We use a waste product and recycle it into a decorative element. The candles are however, odorless
Wir achten beim Bezug der Rohstoffe auf Qualität. Darüber hinaus sind die Verpackungen plastikfrei.
The PURE® NATURAL LIGHTS cups are made of recycled plastic. This makes the entire range particularly resource-efficient and shows the current state of development in the field of sustainable candles and lights.
If the candle produces soot, this is usually a sign that the wick is too long. If this is the case, extinguish the candle and shorten the wick to 1 cm. Another cause could be a wick that is clogged with dirt. This creates a so-called "wick bloom", which should also be removed.
If the wick falls over or there are impurities in the burner plate, the cover may be exposed to too much heat and begin to melt/smolder. Another cause may be the use of an unsuitable container that does not provide sufficient air circulation, so that the cover begins to melt due to the trapped heat. The same problem occurs when lights are placed too close together. We recommend a minimum distance of 3 cm.
First, remove as much wax as possible by hand. To remove grease residue, simply place a thick layer of kitchen roll on the area and iron over it with a warm iron. On smooth surfaces, you can liquefy the wax with a hair dryer and wipe it away with an absorbent cloth.
Our candles can be creatively customized. We recommend using special candle paint for this purpose. Alternatively, motifs can be cut out of colored wax sheets and attached to the candles. Decoupage or other crafting methods may have a negative effect on the burning behavior of the candles!
LIGHT.ONE® & LIGHT.ONE® Church
The cup is non-flammable when used properly, as the paper has been specially treated. Instructions for use can be found on the packaging.
Since the cups are made of 100% paper, they can be disposed of in the paper bin after burning when empty. If there are still wax residues in them, please dispose of them in the residual waste!
Reycycling
Wax residues should always be disposed of with the residual waste, which is incinerated. There, wax residues are a welcome source of energy.
All conventional types of wax — whether paraffin or stearin based on plant (this applies to coconut, palm, soy, and rapeseed) or animal sources — cannot be composted and must therefore be disposed of in the residual waste. Beeswax candles are also non-compostable and must be disposed of in the residual waste. If you are unsure, you can contact your local authority.
Glass items must not be placed in the glass recycling container, unless they are beverage or food containers. Instead, they belong in the residual waste.
Aluminum or plastic cups of lights must be disposed of in accordance with the respective municipal regulations.
